Hi guys.

I'm wondering whether classes at the University of Sydney are graded on a curve (meaning that there is a limit on the number of High Distinctions, Distinctions, Credits, etc. awarded to students), or if students are guaranteed a certain grade if they reach a certain mark (as mentioned at http://current.ask.sydney.edu.au/app/answers/detail/a_id/757/~/what-does-my-grade-mean%3F ).

Thanks.
Generally there's a set percentage of people which can get HD, D and C but I've heard some faculties may be phasing them out.

Yeah. Second year medical science and some third year medical science related units are particularly notorious.
I see. Thanks.
Does anyone have an idea what the set percentages of people getting High Distinctions / Distinctions / Credits / Passes are like?

There was some website I found for each physics and maths that said but I don't remember what they are. ^_^
Does it give the percentage distributions for past years? I'm really interested, find it and I promise I'll buy you a drink.

Pulled from Wikipedia (I've cross-checked these before and the numbers are legit).

That being said, faculties can deviate from this if they want to.

it was like for physics I think (or maths) and it was just a table saying what percentage gets what grade. I don't even remember where it was at all…
