Hey guys, my textbook really sucks at definitions and the internet is too detailed to comprehend so i've got a few questions,
What exactly is a "charge" in terms of the electricity topic, and what is a "net charge"?
Thanks!

It's just an intrinsic property of a particle. Like mass or momentum. It's not an emergent property such as density or pressure. It's fundamental. You can't really define it in terms of simpler things.

Okay thanks guys, i have another question now;
Here are various definitions of voltage i've found from many different sources, but they all seem to be different, which one would be most correct?

Voltage is:
"The change in electric potential energy per unit of charge"
"A measure of how much energy is given to each unit of charge"
"The energy required to move charges"
"The change in energy (work) as charge moves from one point to another"
"The amount of potential (stored) energy electrons (charge) have in an object or circuit"

Out of those one specified I'd have to say the fourth on however the one that my textbook has and I think better describes voltage is
"A measure of the difference in electric potential between two points in space, a material, or an electric circuit, expressed in volts"
