i have this book on me windowsillcurrently rereading The Fall by Albert Camus
one of my favorite books, probably reading it for the 6th time lol
...Always find something new in it that I'd missed previously
I think Proustian type experiences are definitely the most vivid in terms of remembering, but I will say that with writing, you can capture your exact thoughts at that moment. Past thoughts tend to become clouded with present judgements and views, so sometimes it's hard to remember exactly the way you felt at that point (if that makes any sense).it does if you write it down
i guess there is definitely merit to not writing things down, in a Proustian way. events/experiences are always exaggerated (good and bad) in your memory and they usually surpass any and every possible reality.
e.g. homemade food when you're a child. nothing else is ever "just right"

I reckon its one of his most underrated books IMOwill read during holidays
