I was wondering if in hsc, English Standard, is it possible for them to ask you to write essays as speeches? Have they ever specified it? For example, for Moducle C:Educating Rita, can they ask you to write it in the form of a speech. And what about in other modules in the form of a feature article? If yes, entire school's gonna fail, didnt practise much. -_-
Thoughts/ opinons? thanks

Yeah, they can specify anything. Hopefully, though, since they haven't, we will just write an essay. We never practised much of other types, either. if it's a speech, just write an essay with a "Good morning I am here to talk to you about..." and finish with "Thankyou for listening." It's more likely for them to specify in the AOS though over the modules.

I've seen a past paper student's response in the form of a speech somehow. I dont think the question specified it. But if you do a speech, youll set ur self apart from other students as youll be one of the few who are doing a different form, but in the end its all about the quality.

What would you do then Riproot?
We actually had to write a speech in my year 11 yearly exam for a movie I'd never seen so I just used like rhetorical questions and shit.

I did not open with "good morning"
I opened with a powerful one-liner that caught attention and struck a chord with my main thesis, then after my first paragraph I mentioned the audience.
Used "you" where appropriate.
Sign-posting
Etc.
