Hey does anyone know if ur allowed to use maths methods for projectile motion in physics? or do u HAVE to use the equations?
I think that you would be able to use calculus to do projectile motion questions. Although, if you make a mistake, you risk losing all the marks because the Physics teacher might not understand it.

well imo i reckon cut off will be the same as last year around 73 (because thats what the trend is normally)... i reckon i got 68-74, which is less than my CSSA trials (and my teacher has been marking chem HSC exams for last 10 years and he will this year.... rich guy ahahha)
assuming i get 68, what do youse reckon this will align to as my exam mark?
87 maybe 88.

Sometimes in the marking guidelines they have 'correctly substitutes into equation' and 'gets correct answer' of something along those lines

Ok then. There's no point using calculus. I don't won't to lose marks on silly things like this.

His calculation was REALLY wordy though.

He basically did it in sentences.
that is so fucked, should be 2/3 at worst imo... probs some old grumpy marker who couldnt be facked looking at it properly.
i wrote heaps of wordy shit today in the question that asks you to fill in a table showing moles and "write calculations below" :(

I saw Deswa's question as well, he indeed wrote an essay on the result, though I have no idea how a marker gave him 0/3 simply cos he put so much writing on the page.
