Geometric and arithmetic means: need to know? (1 Viewer)

I couldn't find it in the syllabus, so do we need to know it? It's chapter 6F in Cambridge.

It comes up in year 12 iirc, but you should have enough mathematical knowledge to understand it at this stage (i know quite a few schools teach sequences and series which is a related topic in year 11 even though its technically a year 12 topic)

You don't need it for 3U - ever. It would give 4U students too much of an advantage.

Except that it was in my 2U exam. Beware OP. And AM/GM in series and sequences in very easy... I don't know why you are making it sound difficult.
