This is my HSC journey hehe :)

Feel free to comment or help me out or ask for advice whatever!

So back to school in 4 days for me :cry::cry::cry::cry:

And the first thing I hope to do is drop MX2, waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much work and I'm probs gonna fail anyway. I have an english creative writing to do before I get back, any tips?

I also have a bio assessment to do, and I've finished the report, I just have a poster left about protein synthesis.
And a physics assignment, but bc my teacher is so dopey he pretty much gave us the answers in his notes lol

Plus I have a poster for SORII about Christianity and Judaism.... and research about Moses Maimonides #yay

ANDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD reading the Great Gatsby :/ it seems ok so far, so hopefully it'll stay that way.

I also have some stupid posters to create for advocate program, bc I'm co-running it this year? Anyone creative got some tips? I'm thinking just do the "WE WANT YOU" stuff...

Anyways, anyone else doing the HSC this year, I'd love to hear from you! And if you're not... I'd still love to hear from you haha

Don't drop MX2, I got raw 44-45/100, which then aligned and then scaled to a 98 atar equivalent. Hahahahaha. I did no homework throughout the entire year.

Haha but on the bright side, I've finished physics and SOR :) yayyy me

Surely maths is more exciting than Bio and SORII
Oh the subject is interesting, but maths tutoring is just boring bc I don't know anyone in my class and they're all ridiculously smart and go to selective schools and stuff :/

So I've been working on a creative writing story for English about belonging and I got a really good idea (or what I think is a good idea) but I'm not sure about whether or not I should use it. The story is about belonging and it fits the criteria, but the content is a bit iffy.
It's basically about a man discovering that he's transsexual and he gets the operation and everything and basically he finally feels as though he fits in (BELONGING!). But the problem is, I go to a Catholic school, so I'm not sure if my story would be pushing it a little. Bear in mind I have no problem with transsexuals, so don't get offended please, I just don't know how my teachers would react.
Should I hand it in anyway, or writing something more 'appropriate'? HELLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPP!

The story is here if anyone wants to read it btw :) wattpad.com/36752165?utm_source=web:reading&utm_medium=link&ref_id=20900606

I go to a public school, so I don't really know how conservative catholic school teachers are.

I also read somewhere once that writing about sexuality is a difficult concept to convey properly, and that most of the time is done rather poorly. That said, anything done well is good.

Bio assessment? Protein synthesis? What the heck, what was your assessment? Gee, I think my school or class is falling behind because last thing I learnt was about kidney functions, nothing to do with protein synthesis.

Good luck :) Also ShadowLighte I think protein synthesis might be something to do with Enzyme synthesis?

I'm not sure what your class is doing ShadowLighte... Maybe we've started at different parts of the syllabus? Also, the assessments at my school tends to go into a lot more detail than the syllabus requires :/

Yeah but then again, a lot of topics are 'hard' to write... I know that my creative writing skills are very weak, so I might just hand it in and see what happens.

2nd day of school and I think I'm already going crazy. The workload is fine, I seem to have more time now than I did this time last year... But maybe that's because I'm used to it? I don't know. Ad I got an SOR assignment so that'll take up some time as well.
My new timetable has 3 hours of maths in one day :/ and there are waaaaay too many double periods for my liking. Plus, our school got new locks for our lockers, and half the students don't have enough brain cells to open them so I wasted my whole recess waiting behind a slow person. That being said, there was one good thing; we got to meet our 'little sisters' which is our school's version of a year 7 buddy :) I have two and they are the cutest girls ever, they take me back to when I was their age :')
Annnnnnd we have a new principal, so that'll take some time to get used to. Anywho, I better enjoy my procrastination time while I can :)

Handed in my first assignment for the year.... and it was physics so I don't know how to feel about it :/
Plus I got back my crime essay for legal and got 25/25! haha definitely happy with that! But I'm coming second in maths and while that's in no way bad, its annoying the hell out of me that I'm only 1 mark away from being 1st...
Also, I got my english AoS assessment back; I got 17/20 for the essay and 14/15 for the listening task... once again, unsure whether or not that is a good mark.

And I'm starting to feel the pressure of 14 units, I might have to drop before half-yearlies if this continues

Huge SOR assignment about Moses Maimonides, stupid research portfolios will be the death of me. Not only that, there's an inclass essay as well. And it's only two weeks away, which means I'll need to be writing practice responses pretty much every day. The icing on the cake? The essay is the day after our senior social, and I'll get home at 5, go straight to the social and come home at like 12... so no time to practice that day (and no study periods on the day of either).

Fun times...

I FINISHED MY BIO ASSIGNMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Little bro managed to screw up my poster, but I pretty much fixed it so it should be cool.... (fingers crossed)

As for my SOR assignment, I've found some good sources and stuff, now all I need to do is plan out my essay, and my teacher has been AMAZING! He's given us plenty of sources and quotes and stuff to help out :)

I'm feeling less panicked about year 12 now, I think I just need to get through it like any other year

Oh and any year 11 people who want my notes for any subject or past assignments/exams, feel free to PM me!

(oh and 221 days till I graduate :O)

First night stuy session that went past midnight yesterday :O stayed up doing my SOR assignment and went non-stop from 7pm-1am. As much as I'm proud of myself for staying focussed and getting SO MUCH done, I nearly fell asleep today in maths, and I was just lucky I had a study period to get a bit of shut-eye before extension after school.

In other news, my new principal sucks. Period. Can't wait to leave
