I'm currently studying:
General Mathematics
English Standard
Biology
IPT
Legal Studies
Business Studies

Do they scale good?
I'm thinking of dropping Legal because it's too content heavy and there's too much stuff to know.

ok I'm in year 11 but our teacher said that, if you ace all your tests like band6ish you won't get scaled down but if u do average you are screwed

They're all quite poor scaling. I'm pretty sure Legal would scale the best.

All this means is that you really need to get high band 5s or band 6s to not be affected by the scaling.

Scaling fluctuates every year, depending on the strength of the cohort. In short, your subjects are quite "stable" (i.e. fluctuations between HSC and scaled marks aren't completely unpredictable)
Generally, general mathematics and English Standard don't scale very well. Not sure about your other subjects. What you want to do is aim above average (by a significant amount) to remain minimally affected by scaling. Scaling tends to reward academically stronger students.

You'll be fine. Just get the highest ranks possible and study well for externals.

Doing well with those subjects isn't unheard of. It's quite common.

Doesn't really matter that much if you go well.

I did business, eco, standard eng, general math, CAFS and SOR1, my atar was 97 +

The scaling for those subjects are decent not high but not too low. Also it doesn't really matter as long as you're enjoying the subjects. You can achieve a very high ATAR in any combination if you enjoy and work hard in your subjects.

You're subjects are probably average/below average in terms of scaling. Your subjects wont affect your ATAR too much with the exception of maybe standard. However, if you are aiming for something like 99+, then scaling might be a slight issue.
