What do you think are the do's and don't's of year 10?
I'm in year 10 too and accelerated in chem so i have some tips.
Do's: learn where your strengths and weaknesses are, have a decent social life, have fun and do your maths homework or if u are accelerated in something do that too.
Don't: study too much and stress.

Do: play games and enjoy life
Don't: study and get stressed out about assignments
but Do: stay up to date with maths and perhaps learn how to write a really good essay if you're bothered

do's : savour and enjoy the last years of minimal stress (this has been emphasised, WE. ARE. SERIOUS)
discover and participate everything open to you
learn to write a half decent essay (not critical, but I've seen time and again that year 10s are transitioning in year 11 and cant write an analytical essay to save their life)
solidify your knowledge of basic concepts in mathematics and ensure you know how to apply it in any situation
don'ts: stress over any assessments or assignments
study for 4 hours on average a day (aim for 2 max)
cut bonds with friends if you think they'll 'drag you down' or 'waste your time' (friends become invaluable in senior years when you have assessments you haven't started till the day before... trust me)
not do the things you want to do

Do: stay up to date in the subjects you want to do in senior school, as my school has minimum year 10 grades you must get to be able to do a course (eg; A in English for Extenion English, minimum B in History for Modern History, etc etc). Enjoy school, get involved, have fun.
Don't: stress or act like year ten is the end of the world.

I miss year 10 :(

I suggest you get as much advice re: senior school as you can.
Enjoy yourself, stay balanced.
DON'T study in the holidays.... enjoy them while they last :)

Do: relax.
Do not: stress.

If you can prepare yourself academically while maintaining a healthy well-being, then do so. It is really about taking one stage at a time and then progressing through them without getting too ahead of yourself.

Do: a sufficient amount of study to sustain academic confidence, have fun, start think about possibly career paths.
Don't: stress out or overload yourself with work
