or you could remember the 1/2 cuts at the y-axis and that you can draw the gradient via rise over run

Oh yeah, of course. If that's what you're comfortable with, then go for it.

Although it may take a bit of time in examinations cause time is precious and doing the quicker way is more efficient (without making mistakes lol), so just putting it out there.

I know it takes a while to get used to sketching without TOV but it isn't worth going to so much trouble in an exam for 1/2 marks IMO.

If you're talking about straight line graphs then you should probably consider finding the y and x intercept and drawing a line through the two of them

I swear I've never heard you use terms like that before

i rarely say mate or inb4 to my friends at school, i'm just tired at the moment maybe that's why i'm a bit loose.

It almost always goes through (0,1) and just adjust the curve on the basis of the gradient, -f(x) or f(-x).

No the x is the changing x value . Most exp. curves pass through (0,1) because anything to the power of 0 is 1.
I.e
F(x)=7^x
Passes through (0,1)
F(x)=-3^x
Also passes through (0,1)

Unless the power is negative, all exponential curves will pass through (0,1) provided they aren't shifted.
