How many hours of maths should I be doing each day. (2 Viewers)

I am doing extension 1 and 2.
My aim is to do 2-3 hours per day. Is this enough?

u should drop to 10 if u are doing 4u maff, it will be a big work load

it will be a big work load and i don't think it will be worth the extra time, 4u will be time consuming and u should spend as much time as u can on it. But if u want to keep 12u thats fine

If you can take the stress then go for it. I have some friends doing 12 and 14 units and they all do 4U maths.

2-3 hours a day can be excessive, you have other subjects too. I made sure at the end of every week I was up to date homework (HAH!) and often prioritised my maths study, e.g. did past papers 2 weeks before assessments and only did relevant homework during that period.

personally i did practically nothing till the end of term 2 but i still did more maths than any other subject so it just depends on you. very heavily dependent on how much time you generally spend studying!
40% of your total study time seems fairly reasonable, although it's a lot easier to do maths than most other subjects since less writing

I actually feel like I'm studying for maths the least. Then again I like maths so it doesn't really feel like studying.

Anyway, I like to avoid the trap of counting how many hours you study since as you said before, x hours of study doesn't always correlate to y result. Rather, think about study in terms of achieving goals. Do I understand the key concepts outlined in the syllabus? Can I recall any knowledge required? (I.e. in maths formulas although I don't recommend rote learning any- you should be able them commit it to memory with enough practice. Also learn derivations for your formulas so you can gain a better understanding of them and have a way to figure it out in the exam I'm case you forgey) And can I apply this knowledge and understanding to questions in the reasonable amount of time? (As measured by doing past papers). If not, find ways of achieving these things in your own way.
