just out of curiosity hm would a drivetrain switch cost? e.g. fwd to rwd?

There's the cost of the parts (presumably in an FWD to RWD case there aren't a lot of off the shelf kits) and then there's the cost of your time, and pain, etc...

I did consider getting a RWD Evo at one stage (inspired by Tokyo Drift) but decided no point. That being said for some of the more popular options there are off the shelf kits to help reduce some of the cost/risk/frustration but still not an easy task. Easier to just buy another car.

Depends on the current system. FWD to RWD is quite a large job and I would say in excess of $4000 at the least just for material and manufacturing

By the time you consider fabrication, engineering and labour - I can't see it being under 20k. It might just not be possible to engineer it (I.e. be road legal) either.

AWD to RWD is different - on the R32 GTR for example, you can just pull a fuse.

R33s are the most undesirable 90s skylines - due to being heavier than an r32 and less modern than an r34, plus a lot of people don't like the way they look as much. Been good value compared to 32s and 34s for a while.

Despite TG saying it was the one to get, the 32 is a cult classic, the 34 is the beast, and the 33 is too much of a Goldilocks to some.

Last thing i'd want is a clapped out 25 year old skyline as a daily. Rb20 is pretty terrible as well, stick to an s-chassis for that budget.
