There is legit no other laptop that can match the touch pad of a macbook. You will be left with trashy navigation that is not responsive
This is untrue. I am using a cheap chromebook with a touchpad just as good as macbook air. (Saying this since I have used both)

this^

got myself a $350 chromebook from USA with i3 and 4gb of ram. never been happier.
Battery is 7 hours, i can run linux on it to do whatever I want.
Also very light and portable (11.2 inches)

Going to build a $1500 pc at home for myself in summer.
Don't spend thousands on a uni laptop.
are u gonna buy parts from US stores since the price is cheaper even when you convert the currencies? You save $250 when buying from newegg as opposed to pccasegear for a gtx 980 ti

But if the parts break during shipping... your screwed cause it talks forever to ship back. Idk, MSY is alright if you want a physical store which you can visit

Whatever you get, make to buy a 13 inch laptop.

But I may recommend a dell or a lenovo.

So if you are full of the $$$$$, get a mac.

I have compared prices from MSY and newegg and other stores from US, there is barely difference in total price.
I am going to get my parts from MSY.
I probably won't get gtx 980 though, r9 380 or gtx 970

I don't do much gaming but i'll still prob get an r9 390 since it's great value for money. I'm still not sure whether i should go lga 2011 and get an 97 5820k or go lga 1151 and get i7 6700k, i'm gonna be doing video editing and lots of work in adobe.

I want to know what will have the best future compatability, skylake and sandybridge are updated every few years and require new hardware, lga 2011 is professional grade and I think it will last a long time, i'm very confused :(

32 gigs of DDR 4 is pretty nice for video if you have enough $$. DDR 4's price actually dropped so much

I'd be careful with the chromebook you choose, I've seen some people with really stuffed up ones which are less then a year old.

They are really cheap tho... But won't recommend Chrome books cause you can't mod them as much as windows laptop

Trust me you can run Linux on them and mod/customize them more than windows.
After using it I don't wanna go back t Windows.

The new DELL XPS 15 maybe? If 15" is a bit too big then 13" version is good.
I'm on the fence between Macbook/Windows. But with the new dell XPS 15 released, might just get that :p
just use ur school laptop lil kiddo :monkey:
