That's absolutely great lol.
there goes my computer science degree unless i learn everything properly

comp sci is one of those degrees where if you don't understand week 1,2,3 then you probably won't understand weeks 8,9,10,... and if you don't understand prereq courses you will have difficult in further courses

some people fail and need to retake, some take as an elective etc

I know it doesn't but I'm just curious (since I'd imagine they'd need to do chem b if they're doing chem a).

But makes sense exactly what you said, people who failed + people who are doing as elective.

Why do some people take usually S1 classes in S2?? E.g. chem 1a, or computing 1?

I know I'm taking it because I had to do an intro class before going into chem, but wondering why others would.

Some degrees only need the S1 classes.

Not necessarily. Engineering students can take CHEM1A as a first year elective, without needing to ever complete CHEM1B (unless doing chem eng etc.).

comp subjects wont be the problem. math is. and fuck maths. Its a cancer.

I've forgotten everything as well. I couldn't integrate an exponential today.FML

I wouldn't worry because you can go over things in the holidays.

with all these marks from like the maple lab, online tutorials, class tests etc...

I will only need a mark like in the mid 20's/64 or whatever its out of in the final to pass. I'll need to study heaps for that though. I'm still at projections in algebra. I've sort of not done any algebra lol.

dw about "if you fail the lab exam.you fail the course" they just do that to scare you. However your max mark reduces to 50

Thats essentially failing, cause unless you get 100 you will not pass

If your overall mark was above 50, and you failed the lab exam yoi will still pass but your mark will be 50

Literally cannot wait till holidays, but I gotta actually pass my subjects first.

Once that happens... I'll legit be happier than I was when HSC was over.

holidays go fast? Yeah I figured, they're not long at all. But I'm actually keen to just have a bit of time where there is nothing to do + excited to start next sem fresh.

Whilst I was stressing more heavily during my first 5 weeks of uni, at least the content and workload then was light.

As a disclaimer

There's going to be a point in every sem that you do from now on where you will feel at breaking point in terms of assessments
It happens every sem no matter what combination of subjects
and the content is going to be harder the further you progress

So don't give up, you've gotten through it before and you can again

The summer holidays are totally worth it
