How far into the preliminary course are we supposed to be right now? The exams are supposed to be next term.

I'm doing:

English Adv. (2)
English Ext. (1)
Biology (2)
Math (2)
Business Studies (2)
Ancient History (2)
Modern History (2)

13 units! Don't know what my ATAR goal is, but hopefully something good.

Good luck to everyone. :)

Am I meant to be struggling with the 'waves' part of physics so much? Anyone else's thoughts on it?

How are you even meant to study for legal long responses?

It's pretty hard to rote learn an essay for it...

Who's coming first?

VET's not that bad... Cert 3 + semi-decent people skills is a guaranteed job.
Can't recall but I'm like 3rd or some shit (tight between 1st to 4th, rest of the class just drops into an academic abyss).

Oi bos1, are you planning on going for cadetships in the HSC year?

I don't know. I'm probably planning on doing a semi-external degree and work full-time locally, so I don't think a cadet's that much more efficient for me.

Don't you have to be a certain age to get a cadetship?

Not a certain age but it's HSC students and first year uni students iirc.

If you want to go into financial services, go for the cadetships. You'd benefit more from working at a big 4 or a mid tier then a local firm. Also, cadets usually get full time jobs when they graduate.

But it's only good once you graduate, right?

I feel like the Financial Services stuff has no real future, and it looks so dry.

Everyone makes it seem like robots and technology will have taken over by the time we finish uni - and the only degrees worth doing are Computer Science.
