Does anyone know how many students from the top selective schools like James ruse (i bet like half the grade) or Baulkham hills roughly make it into medicine each year?
I want to see what kind of a ranking to aim for in a lower selective school.

Thx

Wouldn't it be more useful to consider the trends in your own school and ones similar to it?

a quarter of a grade is probably a good yr. There was something about an unofficial cap at 38 for Ruse.

Try looking through 2020 and 2019 statistics for your school. Usually they list out how many people got into a certain degree.

Does your school have an annual report? Usually they publish the number of students who were offered each course there.

Otherwise, I believe the number for BHHS was 14 in NSW/ACT only.

Yeah med is generally pretty hard to get into. Even some top selective school students struggle to get med offers.

SB: 2
BHHS: 3
NSB: 1
JR: 16-17
SG: 7

I guess the rest must come from all other private/non-selective public schools right? If so, it might be easier to get in from non-selective public school.
