But wouldn’t you have to sleep early regardless to get the 8 hours of sleep? I think they key here is studying smart and also not procrastinating. You can study for 8 hours but really only do 3 hours of work.

I wake up whenever I don’t feel tired, usually at 7:30am. I like to start off with subjects I’m good at so it’s set the tone for the day and I don’t lose motivation, and then I do subjects I’m not so good at the end. And stop studying at 9pm. This allows to be never stress and always feel relaxed
thats tru but i feel more productive in the morning theres like no loud noises or shouting and stuff HAHAH ygm

Eh, I had that phase too lol.

What I found was that I'd be super productive as soon as I woke up. And then be too tired to even focus past lunch. Find a time that you feel most energised to wake up. Generally, this would be the time that you just naturally get up at. The other key thing is to set concrete tasks to be done by the end of the day. Do them, and then chill afterwards. Negotiate with yourself. You'll be surprised at how cooperative and productive you could actually be.

Wow, we're exact opposites. I liked to start on the subjects I wasn't so good at. This way, I couldn't wait to study my best subjects later in the day.

Your ranks are just fine. My externals were slightly better. My routine probably sounds counterintuitive, but I swear by it.
  • Wake up/ breakfast at 9.00am.
  • Get to korean cafe #1 by 9.30am.
  • Studied till about 1.30pm.
  • Had lunch till about 2.30pm.
  • Get to korean cafe #2 by 3.00pm.
  • Studied again till about 7.00pm.
  • Chilled out till about 12.00am.
In order to maximise any routine, you need to remember that enough down time, good sleep, and concrete tasks are imperative.

The most common trap is thinking quantity of time > quality of time. Obviously, the goal is to actually have a large quantity of quality of time. But, you've probably been quick to realise that trying to maximise the quantity at the cost of productivity and energy has led to a decrease in the quality of your time.

To maximise the quality of your time, you need to know what you're doing, and you need to have enough energy to be able to do it. So, spend a bit of time tonight organising the exact tasks you need to finish by tomorrow. Do you have notes all done?

bro
try and do 2 subjects a day max (maybe spend 4 hour per subject- that's what i try to do), and also set out the tasks that u will get done every night so that u force urself to follow it
also omg i can relate with the sleep thing lmao. try and have coffee every morning if u can
also IK this sounds bad but like by this point focus more on subjects ur good at to maximise ur marks as much as u can. like i SUCK BIG TIME in english but that's just one subject, and i have 5 other subjects that i really like so imm focusing on them to maximise my atar coz ik no matter what i do now i cant get in the B6 range for eng lmao

You're so fine. Revise your notes and do practice questions. Note down every question that you got wrong, and keep them in a notepad.

If it helps, my high school ranked 70ish last year, and 100ish the year before.
