No matter the explanation we may have, we still ultimately know nothing, and that’s honestly exciting to me, because no matter how much you ‘grow up’, you can literally decide right now in this instant to START playing the game, and you will always discover and explore new things without it feeling repetitive, no matter actively repetitive objectively gets.
Yes exactly. Same goes for anti matter and strange matter (both theoretically proven only). Strange matter is mortifying. But would serve as excellent fodder for a story.

UV radiation well more specifically UV-B, can cause DNA damage by forming thymine dimers, where two adjacent thymine bases on the same DNA strand bond together. This dimerization doesn't directly induce a point mutation from adenine to thymine. but if not repaired correctly, thymine dimers can lead to point mutations during DNA replication, as the replication machinery may misread the dimer and insert the wrong base. The formation of thymine dimers doesn't misalign the DNA strands but can disrupt the normal base pairing and replication process.View attachment 39977

PATHOGENEXAMPLEADAPTATIONS
PRIONMad Cow Disease- It's a protein so it can't be detected lol no antigen markers
VIRUSInfluenza- constantly evolving antigen markers
- can survive without host
- easily transmissible
BACTERIAE. Coli- capsule is protective
- secrets toxins that are harmful to host and damage immune system
PROTOZOA (PROTIST)Cholera- forms microtubule projections that attach to host cells
- forms colonies
- complex lifecycle (e.g. malaria)
FUNGIThrush- can tolerate large range of abiotic conditions
- has a cell wall for extra protection
MACRO-PARASITEHookworm- secretes proteins that hide their presence
- just generally sneaky little buggers (quote this in hsc please)

edit please give suggestions to improve this thanks

we only looked at the adaptations of viruses, bacteria and fungi in detail
