One Bad Mark (1 Viewer)

Hey guys, I just received all my marks back for the first assessment block of year 12, I did pretty average mark wise all 70s and 80s, except for math's extension got below 50, but all ranks are in the top 10, I do all 3 sciences 3U math and English advanced as well as PDHPE. I was wondering if I have messed up my Atar or can I still get around 93 (requirement for the course I want to do), and whether dropping extension would be a good decision?

yeah you’re fine, and don’t worry about the lower ext mark obviously you’ll want to improve for the next few assessments but it is a harder subject so scaling will account for a lower mark in it

So i am guessing ranks are more important than the actual mark correct?

yes because internal exam difficulty can vary a lot
