Thank you! Yes I have heard that high maths needs an hour a day to do well, especially because I want to do Ext 2 in year 12. And physics is maths-based so probably the same. Other subjects I’ll just make sure I’m doing practise questions often. For language learning, spacing out study sessions throughout the week can improve memorization. For your math adv, ex1 math, and physics, consistent daily practice for about an hour per subject is recommended! Make sure to dedicate additional time to subjects that you may be struggling so you reach transfer level! they're all hard subjects i'd say... so you have to sacrifice time to do well :3
for pdhpe, ur main aim to be understanding and memorising content. i normally spend 30min-1hr depending on what I learnt on the day by blurting notes and making them as flash cardsEnglish Advanced, English Extension, Maths Advanced, Maths Extension, Studies of Religion 1, PDHPE, Physics, Italian Continuers
Does anyone know how much study a week should I be doing to perform well in these subjects? I was thinking about 2 hours per unit per week so about 26 hours.

just know that + syllabus and ur g
it really does depend on the subject and the person. some people take longer to process information whereas others take less time to study the same material. also keep in mind that most people study way less during yr 11. most people who do well study about 3 hours a day (in hsc). once you get into the routine of study, youll be able to figure out what time is right for you based on how well youre able to keep up with the syllabusEnglish Advanced, English Extension, Maths Advanced, Maths Extension, Studies of Religion 1, PDHPE, Physics, Italian Continuers

I starting learning English as my third language just under a year ago, but even I can spot many ways you need to improve.what do you take super year 10 english?
how to keep consistent with it for the whole year? I've always just did a bunch of revision the week of tests at mostit really does depend on the subject and the person. some people take longer to process information whereas others take less time to study the same material. also keep in mind that most people study way less during yr 11. most people who do well study about 3 hours a day (in hsc). once you get into the routine of study, youll be able to figure out what time is right for you based on how well youre able to keep up with the syllabus
I hope you've realised by the other three people telling you this, but its not that deep and I was more so calling the specific subject choices boring than the actual individuals - I basically did A5 and all of my study friends did A5. However I must also say, your inability to let something like this go definitely confirms my stereotype . Go study your boring subjectsSay you are correct that most Year 12's think better scaling subjects is the way to go, and therefore doing those 5 subjects, but at what point does that give you the right to call them/ a specfic group of them boring? Did you avoid the line between 'boring' and 'interesting' just by picking modern history? or did you develop this ideal when others chose what you havent? Most selective school students deserve to be there, and they have the brain to know what they want/ would be better for them to pick. Theoretically, they may not pick engineering as they really do think that the five subject would be more beneficial to them then engineering studies which, wouldn't you say, it a valid reason! Still can't see where you earned the right to judge selective students doing A5 for a high atar/ better scaling although they could do something they may be more passionate about. Although it may be their teachers, tutors and school who tell them this, who are they to know better? That's what they were taught, that's what they know, that's what they trust. Calling someone 'boring' for their subject pick? Genuinely pathetic
This is just a lie because your DP is lazy. Tafe and SDE don't have any restrictions like this. There was a girl who was quite active on here and conquer in 2022 that did 4u at tafe because her school's class filled up for it, and its very common for students who switch schools in 11-12 when there is full classes/school timetable isnt compatible with student timetable. From my experience, schools tend to only take student concerns seriously when you get parents involved or involve NESA (funny how much more seriously a teacher takes you when they're at risk of getting audited ), so if you're super dead set you should just get mum and dad to send an email to the DP.So... I ended up asking my DP about this... she said that it only applies for subjects the school doesn't offer at all.:C
This is like insanely late, but you'll most likely get above 70 bcs atar itself includes the whole age group cohort (even the ppl that dropped out before completing yr12 + those who completed yr12 but didn't apply for an atar). Sooooo, the median atar of students who complete yr12 & are eligible for an atar is recorded at abt 70.23 (2023). So, DWWW Fret not, queen. Put in the extra effort, and you can get well past 70!! Don't undermine ur abilities! Wish uuu da best. <3if i was to get a good atar prolly like physiotherapy (chances are in the negatives) or speech pathology or something along those lines WHICH I AM NOTTT GONNA GET I'm so scare dguys help
i think you’ll be fine, provided you’re willing to put in the effort you can do well and a year 10 test that u didn’t study for really doesn’t reflect how you’ll do in year11/12. however i did 3 sciences in year 11 and i have to say it is super super heavy and you really have to love the subject, i ended up not really liking chem and bio was just okay for me so i dropped them and ended up only doing physics in year 12. theres also something to be said about the variety of subjects you take, it’s sometimes good to have units in other areas like tas so you don’t get bored of science content, but if you really like science that’ll be fine.Had a talk with my teacher, and she said she would definitely recommend me for biology, but said no to chemistry because I missed out on 3 of the critical thinking questions related to chemistry on our exam. She also said she wouldn't recommend me for physics, despite the fact that we haven't even done any physics tests yet. She's basing this solely on the fact that I missed a critical thinking question, and you'll need critical thinking for physics. Do I still go forth with doing bio, chem, and physics? I know I could've done way better on the test; it was just that I lacked time to practice because I had to go to the hospital, etc. Erm... What do you guys think?
im going to quote this on the daily im weakWhat race are you? Interested in calling you a slur.
Ohhh... I may do this... involving NESA would be funny. I can get someone else to do it for me (people are making petitions haha) So I'll get them to ring up NESAThis is just a lie because your DP is lazy. when getting them to ring up nesa pls pls pls mention the brutal atrocious act of them not letting us pick chem and physics freelyOhhh... I may do this... involving NESA would be funny. I can get someone else to do it for me (people are making petitions haha) So I'll get them to ring up NESA
yes, that's the point of it haha.when getting them to ring up nesa pls pls pls mention the brutal atrocious act of them not letting us pick chem and physics freely
