Update: made that test my bitch, got absolutely dicked down, had not as much trig as I thought it would, was a decent mix of simultaneous, nonlinear, cord geometry and further trig. Never mess with me agini think it might mean that its testing the unit circle but only the top two quadrants

YoYoguys just curious what are your subject selections for next year?
fuck i'm so cooked i've got no clue and i'm in 5.3...how do i do this?
My subject choices are Biology, Chemistry, Mordern History, English Standard, Maths Advanced, Religion Studies 1guys just curious what are your subject selections for next year?
bio, chem, 3u math, eng adv, japanese continuers, sor1guys just curious what are your subject selections for next year?
wouldn't this be differentiation? use the power rule which should give y=2x+5 then sub in your x value which is 1 which gives you the gradient of the tangent (7)how do i do this?
yeah we're gonna get pretty busy once term 4 hits (i think), at least it means more varietyDamn 3 new people in the span of 2 days.
yeah i asked my math teacher and her response wasfuck i'm so cooked i've got no clue and i'm in 5.3...
i guess that's what happens when you go to a public high
if it's of any comfort, we're not studying that either and i'm in a private school, but it does look familiar (i learned it a while ago at tuition, have forgotten most of everything)yeah i asked my math teacher and her response was
and i quote "looks like stuff from the advanced course"
like ok??? clearly people are doing it in year 10 so ????
ohhh ok got it got it tysm!!wouldn't this be differentiation? use the power rule which should give y=2x+5 then sub in your x value which is 1 which gives you the gradient of the tangent (7)
then substitute x=1 into the original equation to find the y intercept at x=1 which should be y=12 which gives you the point where the tangent touches the parabola (1,12)
then use point slope form y-y1=m(x-x1) and sub in your values
y-12=7(x-1)
y-12=7x-7
y=12+7x-7
y=7x+5
which is the equation of the tangent to the curve
and the normal is just perpendicular to that which should be y=-1/7x+5
sorry if my explanation is unclear but i checked in desmos and it looks right
