What can I expect to achieve for ATAR? I'm getting a few conflicting answers. (1 Viewer)

Hi guys, Ive been looking at entering UNSW Engineering and have been given an offer for the Portfolio Scheme (that reduces entry requirement to an 83 from a 90 ATAR), but lately I have been aiming for an ATAR >95 (maybe 97??? but I am not sure if that is feasible for me currently), just for fun and to broaden potential future prospects, because aint nobody complaining about a high atar

I would like maybe a ballpark or estimate of my atar given these NESA submitted cumulatives that I've been shown by my teachers
Cumulatives for English and MAdv have not been returned yet

English Adv: probably around 68/156 (yikes) essay avg 17/20 brought down by dastardly short answer section in trials (14/20), may appreciate some help in this regard
Maths Adv: 17-22 (judging by old cumulative and trial rank) / 141
Chemistry: 4/57
Physics: 4/58
Maths Extension 1: 30/70
Engineering Studies: 5/41

I was told that my particular year is highly competitive in MX1 (to put it in perspective, I'm still projected to get E4, even given my rank) and is predicted to be 11th in the state (according to deputy and headteacher) for English

Still doesn't change the fact I'm a bum in those subjects
School is ranked ~50 in NSW and is selective

I'd particularly like to know this since I am on the leadup to the HSC externals and I would like an idea of where I am sitting currently. I'm told I'm between 90 and 97.
Thanks for reading.

supposing you band 6 everything you’re around 96+, i think that’s pretty feasible if u put in the work, prob best to work really hard on english to try to maximise your external mark
