I got my science results back
IM TOP OF MY YEAR WOOO

89/90 btw
would you guess what they took a mark off for?

the science teacher 'failed' the winograd schema:
"must identify the antecedent of an ambiguous pronoun in a statement."
for example "the trophy would not fit inside the suitcase because IT was too big" where it could either be the trophy or the suitcase
of course as humans we can see that 'it' refers to the trophy since the other way doesn't make any sense.

for the aim of the experiment, i wrote (paraphrasing)
to discover how the steepness affects the block as IT travels
and i lost a mark for not saying 'the block as the block travels'
they literally just didnt want me to get a perfect result smh...
also if you want to know more about the winograd schema, check out this video
Congrats well deserved. theres no need to write a paragraph crying over losing one mark tho

can anyone help me w a? I drew the bearing and i got that
sin90 = 200/x
since x is the hypotenuse but the answer im getting is 200 which is wrong for two reasons, the answer says that the answer is 200-something n the hypotenuse cant have the same distance as a different side (logic)

Why are you using sin 90?
The 40 degrees is an alternate angle and therefore you have to use cos40 right?

Yh i realised that later bc i thought that the 200km was the hypotenuse before 💀 n x would be the ‘opposite’
Every single time we did trig in Math I would always confuse sin and cos for some reason- it always stuffed me until right before my exam where i nearly ran out of time cause i kept on double checking all my triangles-

SOH CAH TOA bro
another neat way to remember it is like
if you consider the unit circle,
sin(x) represents the y value, cosx represents the x value and tanx represents the slope of the line
cotx is just 1/tanx, cosecx = 1/sinx {confusing innit}, secx = 1/cosx

what math ru doing for yr11/12
