My ranking for english is 8/155 in a school that is ranked in the 60s. So as per my understanding, my "Assessment Mark/Grade" will be the 8th best mark scored in the HSC? So based on that, do you guys think my Assessment Mark/Grade will be in the 80s?

absolutely! I think you can expect your assessment mark / grade to be high 80s - mid 90s, assuming that you perform at a standard that is the same as what you are doing now.
