At least yours gave back your trial paper, my DT teacher didn't even give our trial back, just told us our mark and that was it (didn't even know if he marked them right, apparently he read the exemplar and then marked based on that (he's never taught an HSC class before))

I've always just memorised quotes for my reflections and made up my Pieces on the spot by to integrating the quotes i memorised into it. Ive got semi decent marks by just doing this but don't know if its worth it just winging it for the actual hsc + if its an imaginative im cooked

3 per para was what we were told was needed but idk it depends on what type of text you have
i have 3 paras with 2 quotes in each and then authors/historical context which is kinda cooked so now im going to do 8 quotes 3, 2, 3

1984 by george orwell, im going really heavy on author/historical context because i think its relevant to the whole point of the book but i have a good feeling the question will probs not relate to that at all so its kinda doomed :(

yeah I'm doing that too, I think you will be fine with that amount of quotes :)
