i swear you never answer controversial questions you only ask them, to put others in the hot seat. i propose you answer all questions you ask with your own opinion first, maybe it’ll help others answer your questions! 😊
this is such a goofy ahh statement to make

i hope you carry this idea into the rest of your HSC exams, please make NESA answer them first before you attempt the paper

@nonya2000 does your (horrific) thinking also transfer over to other intellectual conditionss such as autism, adhd, bipolar or anything else?
Not at all. But certainly those on the extremely severe spectrum, they aren't any different from down syndrome since they definitely have an iq below 2 standard deviations. Quite frankly, I don't even think it should be seperated on a spectrum, they should have completely different names since a marginally autistic person is completely different to a medium/severely autsitc people. If you look normal and behave normally, nobody would think you have autism or adhd. On the other hand however, it's clear you don't belong in society if you look like Figure 1 or can't behave normally (such as sswinging your arms everywhere like the autistic kids in my school)

why does not one answer the question smh

here is the question:
would you then abort before they were born?

you are supposed to answer this question ^
please address all parts of the question
Controversial but I would abort the baby for sure. It's not about their worth at all, I just think as the parent you have so much responsibility. If you know your child is going to have a poor quality of life, why bring them into this world? Such a big part of living is suffering, now they're going to suffer additionally attempting to do 'normal' things (like walking or eating). And of course the financial and emotional burden not only on you but your family. Sorry guys I just want to be honest, especially since I know people who have been directly affected by this.

I don't agree with that notion but I think there is something to be said about our collective responsibility as humans. If we can ensure there is someone out there that will suffer less, why not pursue that? I think we should look out for each other and reduce as much suffering as possible and in my opinion.... aborting a child like that would reduce suffering for many people
