Ngl I haven't done a since business paper yet lol, so not rlly sure. But I mean have a go at it. No exam it gonna be completely easy. But I guess maybe do 2019 if you haven't since if the essay is about hr processes then you gotta write quite a lot (waffle). So I guess that might help to remind yourself of how much work you gotta do.
im more gonna try maximise mcq and short answer marks tbh

Just make up a business on the spot, but don't make it an ideal business since all businesses have their own flaws

wait r we allowed to do hypothetical case studies?? like fake businesess
I don't see why not, but the problem is that you should have your "hypothetical business" planned out. And it should not be the most perfect business out there. So make it realistic. But if you want to remember some case studies you can probably try Qantas or McDonalds, etc.

Yes it is way easier and even if you just pick one business you can think logically what they could be doing. Like i doubt even if you make a few false but realistic facts theb the hsc markers ain't gonna search on google whether for example, qantas gained 600 million or 700 million dollars in 2023. But make it realistic. Don't end up saying that Qantas went backrupt or smthg like that.

best one is record 2.4bn profit in 21, then u can link to reduction in wages (layoffs and redundancies) so u can get lots of width and versatility for ur stats

Are you supposed to address or bring up your case study at all in your intro?
i usually do in the last sentence like eg

Leading technology company Apple, and Australian airline Qantas explore the strategic impact a variety of financing can offer and lead them to financial stability
