Getting rid of the League of nations and the un was the right idea.
And making brown v board explicit good too.
Completely agree with you. I love how they got rid of the UN and League of Nations section because to be frank, a little weird (though hate the new name because in my opinion, power and authority is sexier than democracy and dictatorships).

minimal changes in National Studies broadly though India is yeeted off and we now have Cuba for national studies. I’m pretty sure something else got removed for Peace and Conflict. On that note, love the changes to Conflict in Europe stating Stalingrad, Moscow and Kursk are turning points though still dissappointed that there is no mention of the Atlantic theatre.

As for CRM, I love the changes. Massive upgrade to it and how it attempts to encompass more aspects of it including women and making certain events more explicit.

if they ask for 2 debates for section 2, how would you structure it? can you focus on one debate more than the other or should it be balanced

Ah yes. Was it the one at Sydney uni earlier this year? If so, we may have bumped into each other unknowingly. I was the guy in one of the first lectures to argue that "neither KFC or McDonalds chips were good because of the economic conditions..."
DEADDDDDD I REMEMBER THAT

Balanced is probably better, you can just focus on one debate in a paragraph, or you can integrate them, which is what I will probably do.
would we get marked down if we did like only 1 paragraph on debate 1, and 3 paragraphs on debate 2 or something like that

TBH, I don't know, but it also probably also depends on what your CS is and how interrelated the debates are. I don't think It would be too significant to your mark though if everything else is good.

also do we need direct quotes from historians (e.g. their books) for the case study?? my teacher never told us so idk
i have one for each of my four paragraphs altogether: our case study is the australian frontier so i have one from stanner, one from reynolds, one from windschuttle and one from ryan. idk if its necessary but i dont think it can be bad to have

for question 1 are you guys centering your paragraphs around historians and their methodologies, or different real life case studies and examples? Most people I have seen are surrounding their arguments based on different historians but my teacher told us to focus on having real life case studies and examples

It honestly depends what the question calls for. If it is around methodology, I would do the former (historians etc.) but as well as private and public history and of course, uses and abuses (real life e.g.)
