for the case studies do we need to have specific stats, bc my school teacher marked us all down bc our case studies were not 'comprehensive enough', she wants fking stats, dates and she wants them all to be the latest case studies, so between 2022-2024. is this essential in the hsc?

yeah stats are a must.

just make them up though - a lot of people (myself included) do.

every teacher says a different thing but honestly you can just make it all up but just make sure it sounds somewhat realistic and its throughout the case study. if you have a strong cause, response and implications that links to the syllabus dot point and it sounds like it could be real then you'll be good. like for the implications part if it was on relationship marketing u could say this has enabled xyz to experience an 11% increase in repeat purchases which has assisted in achieving revenue of xyz in 2023, thereby achieving objectives of maximised sales revenue, market share and profit. something like that but obviously a bit more detailed

yea tbh this might just be the strat, bc realistically the markers r only going to spend a couple mins on each essay and there's no fking way they r checking the stats onlinee.

so like make up a random case study then, "hence this improves sales/ worker satisfaction/ liquidity/ quality by 3.6%" ???
yeah just for alot of stuff (especially big companies) if you say market increase by 8% they are gonna know its bs, just keep it under 5% for the big ticket stuff, a small change is still change

guys how come in job design general is complex and specific is simple but in recruitment it has general and specific but the definitons are opposite
In job design general tasks are where the employee does the entire task, and specific is where they do a section of the task. For example, one employee may make a car from start to finish (general) while the other only fits the doors or smth (specific). General requires more skill while specific is like ur factory worker doing a task repeatedly. In recruitment, it refers to skills, general skills are those that can be applied to any job like communication and teamwork while specific would be those you need a degree or special training to acquire.

guys okay this might sound dumb but whats the diff between sourcing and outsouricng
global sourcing is when business purchase supplies overseas without being constrained by location. so they might globally source from other countries to access cheaper materials or higher quality materials and a wider availability of inputs as some things might not be available domestically.

outsourcing is the use of external providers to perform business activities. so a business might outsource its operations/manufacturing process to countries with lower minimum wage rates to reduce costs. or they might outsource their HR function to a specialised hr company so that they can focus on the business's main operations instead of other functions

everyones predicting finance and hr
Kinda cooked for that lol, but marketing could also be the essay since it was marketing and operations last year and hr and finance for report. So wouldn't it be a bit too obvious if they just swap the two around. So I think it will be:

Report = Operations and HR
Essay = Finance or Marketing (Choice)

That would be the ideal case. For me atleast
