just take a break over the holidays and recharge. I also need a break so that I can reset my mind and I can go into the new term with a fresh mind cause if I continue with this I am not going to make it through year 12
That's valid though- however there are other things that validate you other than grades and your friends are probably doing things to help them cope or getting extra help without telling you-

I can't take a break
my parents are gonna pressure me- if i'm not doing anything i'm gonna be slammed for not using this 'ever so valuable' time for study because of the shit grades i got this term.
idk but I feel like their just smart. Like if I had some sort of natural aptitude towards school I would be much better off cause at least I wouldn't feel dumb compared to the rest of my grade
Did u tell ur parents ur grades. But try to do something fun too. Like they need to understand burnout and ike they shouldn't be pressuring u that muchI can't take a break
I haven't told them my 2 recent ones after i told them my max results cause of the way they reacted then. I'm rlly scared but like oh well-
if your parents don't agree put them on here i'll talk some sense into them because forcibly locking in THIS HARD for ranks and grades that are ERASED in year 12 hsc is unsustainable and not smart in the long term.
But honestly I haven't really being putting that much effort in due to my poor mental health but I've just gotten my self esteem so destroyed that I've just lost hopedefinitely take a break, thing is, ya'll are putting in so much effort now (in year 11) when it barely counts to anything in the future. sure, maybe your report looks nice or wtv, or you get early entry into some uni, but really it doesn't matter. you will undoubtedly burn out and crash by the end of the year, please take a chill pill

I would just hide it from them depending on their reaction. Like I plan to just let them know my ranks when reports come out so like if I get a bad rank I can just say that everyone else just did better but my marks wasn’t that bad
School counsellors are legally required to keep information confidential unless the student expresses otherwise, or the student is in danger of harming themself or others.
in my school the old counsellor was so messed up they had to fire her and her license was suspended for a while (dont want to say the story here
)
They're also kinda like blueberries like some of them are sweet and nice but others are sour. Our English teachers should be proud of us for making these great analogies.
