Depends. Which branch of law you going to specialise in ? Corporate, criminal, family, work for yourself as a solicitor etc ? Wanna work for the top 5 law firms ?

If it’s prestige / top law firms, usyd 1st, unsw 2nd then Anu. There is no 4th place as you won’t get hired.

for criminal, family law etc uni matters less and doesn’t matter at all if going down the solicitor path.

the most important question is do you want to be a lawyer ? Lots do the degree as an add on but never practice - they now have $85k debt or smth on top of the 5 year commitment

If it’s Newcastle v Macquarie v uts or wsu and you live closer to Newc then go there

I want to become a solicitor and try getting into the corporate side of law. I’ve heard that firms look for grades, and then uni but I may be wrong. So i definitely want to practice, I can also try moving to the more prestigious unis however I feel like that would be very difficult

If you live in Newc then for sure go there.

If you live in syd then go to a Syd uni.

no point spending $500/wk in rent, cost of living etc unless you are pushing usyd / top law firms. That’s $130k commitment right there.

Uni looked at before grades. Eg usyd atar is 99.5
