No its not tbh its only a lot of work whilst learning after that its nothing
for me, biology was always really tough because on top of learning all the content (which there is just a staggering amount of) you had to know how to structure responses nearly word for word too
dont get me wrong though, i loveeed bio, the content was super interesting but the fact that just knowing the content well wouldnt even get me above 70% really discouraged me 😪

I wonder if sleeping at 9 but waking up at 2 or 3 is a better alternative to working until 12.......
both are pretty bad and i dont think you'll get very high quality work done if you did that...
is it possible for you to sleep at 11 and wake up at 6? that feels like a fair compromise

I am doing subjects that primarily focus on writing, but recently a teacher rant caught my thinking.

My maths teacher is adamant that I am staying in advanced, because "I did great on the prelim (63%), that's second in the class"

I keep explaining to the teacher that I want to devote the majority of my effort and time into 4U English, History Extension etc, and that I find maths advanced boring and not useful for the degree(s) I want to pursue later down the track:

Either B Security Studies @ MQ, B Politics, Philosophy and Economics @ UNSW, or B Education (Secondary) @ UOW/UNSW/USYD

Is it worth pursuing this conversation about dropping to standard maths with my teacher? Or do I accept defeat, extort myself for a tutor and lock in?

For reference I am currently ranked 7/35 in the cohort after the 1st assessment task.

bruh I literally got 63% in my prelim and that was like 40 something ranked and the head teacher was like if u get a 75% below u should drop to std

btw do you know if you are in standard or not?
I still need to get the form, but first I need to talk to my teacher so then the same thing with what happened with dropping bio last term doesn't happen again. Then I need to get it signed and stuff. I'm getting my adv task 1 assessment back tmrw too but even if I pass I'm still dropping cause it's just not worth the pain

Not even standard? I've only seen people in standard get competitive Atars with really high marks (as it is generally easier (still shares like 30 percent of the course with adv) and way more people do the course). If nobody is getting a band 6 stay in advanced (rank 7 is pretty good) or drop down to standard if you have made up your mind that you will be the first to get a band 6.
Yep, no B6's or E4's across the entire mathematics faculty last year

@ALolly Say you were 6 weeks away from chemistry and physics exams. What would you be prioritising at this point?
i would probs focus on learning all the content properly in the first 2 weeks or so then just focus on doing questions
