Panic attack. Engineering first year is so hard.

There's a phys quiz that tests your error calculation skills. It's on moodle, and it helped me quite a lot. I didn't even know about the prelab reading and still got an 8, thanks to that quiz. There's also a whole section in front of the lab manual that deals with error as well.

Panic attack. Engineering first year is so hard.

lol i think was in the same comp lecture as you (daniel woo and something about identifiers?) and i think everyone's in the same boat as you are, tbh, except for the really smart kids, of course. i know 2 friends that already dropped down to math1131 cause they found it too hard, and they both...

    B Engineering/ M Biomedical engineering advice needed!

I'm doing the same course as you :) I went with mechatronic since i'm interested in both electronics and mechanical things, and mechatronics is pretty much a fusion of the two. I would say do what you're most interested in/most good at, but I didn't take future prospects/employability into...

    Calling all high achievers.

Concentrate on your english. Your teachers have already all told you how it is the only compulsory 2 units that you have to do out of the 10 that you will do. And getting a good english mark for both internals and hsc is one sure way to getting a decent atar, athough i have no idea what decent...

When to use F=BIL and F=BILsin(theta)?

Thank you very much Fizzy. You've been a great help. Now I can solve the backlog of M&G questions I've piled up because of this. Cheers! :D

When to use F=BIL and F=BILsin(theta)?

I am very confused as to which situations call for which formula. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could tell me the answer in relation to the orientation of the conductor within the magnetic field. So perpendicular to magnetic field, field going into/out of page, etc. For an example...

    Those Hard Topics

I'd like to see your face when you meet a 4U graphing question :D Though I'll agree parametrics and projectile is okay, if not a bit repetitive for 3U only. 4U gets a lot more convoluted. The stuff to do with all the financial stuff ie. superannuation, repayments, interest etc. isn't all that...

    Belonging: Related Text Suggestions

Growing up Asian in Australia is a fantastic text. It's an anthology of short stories by various (Asian) people which are recounts of the authors' migrant experience in Australia. It explores identity and the subsequent loss of it in a foreign environment in an attempt to conform, relationships...

    Is the School Cert important?

Deja vu... Every year, without fail, this thread pops up. And every year, the responses/reactions to the question "Is the SC important?" are the same; derision and mocking in general. And I agree to a large extent. The SC exam is required for the HSC. If you don't do it, then you can't do the...

What pen to use? and what pens you use?

I once brought a Parker Sonnet to school once for english and ancient history exam. Sooooooo unbelievably smooth, but unfortunately on both instances it was practically empty when I finished. You absolutely cannot go wrong with gold nibs.

What pen to use? and what pens you use?

Are you buying online or at a shop. If you're buying at a shop, they often let you test it out before buying, so you can see what floats your boat before deciding. But, if buying over the interweb, then... theory lesson first: LH nibs are designed to be more resistant and tough because...

What pen to use? and what pens you use?

Lol if we didn't write in a font that resembled NSW Foundation Script, we didn't get a pen license. As if I need a piece of cardboard to tell me when I can use a pen or not. And who cares what you write; it's how you write it. Grip and technique is extremely important, imo. Cursive script is...

What pen to use? and what pens you use?

Meh... I've had teachers in year 3 tell me to stop writing the way I was writing (thumb over index finger instead of next to it), but they didn't exactly tell me what to do instead. And I'd like to attribute my current sense of irony from the experiences I've had with teachers throughout my...

What pen to use? and what pens you use?

I have friends who write with their books almost perpendicular to their body. Their practically writing up the page away from themselves. It's one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen anyone do. And then there are some people who press so hard that they imprint what they're writing onto the...
