I did one quote per mark, occasionally had more than necessary just to make sure, and also most of the time I finished on the given lines. Got a B6. If you have good analysis you'll get the marks.
How much marks do u guys reckon you'd lose for having k=5 for that question, for some reason i didn't realise the question said x^k and x^(k+1) and rather just saw k and k+1 and did the whole procedure correctly, but with the wrong terms or whatever lol.
Uranium has some binding energy whatever it is, but this nucleus will be relatively unstable so we can imagine that the binding energy is not so high to begin with anyway. It does say "Total Binding Energy" so when the Uranium splits into the Thorium and Helium, it has now become more stable...
For part (i) of course you would find gradient of AP and gradient of AS and just prove the product is -1 but would you be allowed to just write down the tangent equation (to find coordinates of A) without deriving it, and just state its from reference sheet or something? This would save a little...
If you choose any pair of shoes with no restriction, the chance of you getting it is 8/8. Now you have a restriction, the next shoe has to match the colour of that first shoe, which is only a 1/7 chance. Therefore (8/8) * (1/7) is just 1/7. This is the more 2u way of doing it.
Unlikely they'll ask the exact same question of course. However, you may see some similar styled questions every once in a while, but it's not abundant.
