    induction motor or cooktop?

all i can say is that its pretty mean if the answer is not cooktop: the cooktop and electromagnetic braking are studies side by side in all textbooks.

I'm applying for UNSW next year. What do i do for accomidation? Do I apply now? Or wait for UAI? Is there any kind of link between being accepted for a course and receiving accomidation? What if I am not accepted for the course, but am accepted for accomidation???

    Einstein and the Photoelectric Effect

to get full marks youd really need to discuss threshhold frequency, work function, and the max kinetic energy of the photoelectron. ie, electrons are only emitted if the threshhold frequency is satisfied, and the energy of the photoelectrons is given by E = hf = workfunction + kineticenergy

    hsc science

I do chem and phys, and I'm getting the feeling that HSC science isn't really traditional science, but more that its a superficial appreciation of science. this is especially true in physics, where like 90% of the marks you get by studying theory and recounting the background of a concept, eg...

    Fermi's Demonstration

Fermi wasn't the first to achieve fission, but he was the first to make a working controlled fission reaction in his "atomic pile" which used uranium oxide and uranium as a fuel, with graphite as a moderator. (he made it in a squash court)

    Bohr's Postulates

the importance of the thrid postulate was that it explained why electrons dont emit EM radiation as classical physics sugested they should. it didnt really explain it though, it was an 'ad hoc' assumption: de Broglie explained it by comparing the orbit to the creation of a standing wave

    chemical engineering

Hi, im interested in CE. However, I know very little about it. To tell the truth, I'm only interested in it on the grounds that I enjoy and am good at chemistry, and I believe that there is the capacity for reasonably good salary levels in that field. I would like to hear from anyone who knows...

    Latham or Howard?

My choice is Howard, for it is his trans-maternal strengths by which his influence exudes that we come to understand ourselves, our country, and ourselves.
