  • I'm living in the area of Australia that has the highest unemployment statistics in the country.

I'm thinking of moving down to Melbourne cause that's where my Dad is. I'll mooch for a few weeks while I find a job.

I don't think Centrelink has anything to help with relocation. They have the advance on payments which for me equals $487, but I already used that getting the car fixed.

Hoping something will come around. No-one on BoS seems to understand, and it really annoys me when they say "getting a job is easy"... Lol.
Yeah, I'm doing a Cert II in I.T.

I've been applying for 18 months straight, at least three jobs a day. I've applied as far south as Ballina and as far north at Southport. I've had no callbacks, no expression of interest at all from anywhere.

My problem is that they only seem to employ under 18's. I'm 19. Everywhere wants experience, but no-where is willing to teach.

I've even been knocked back by five McDonalds (Wtf?) and even the council. No-where even wants to look at me for some unknown reason.

This area is just a hole.
yeah that's the county's name. the beach we live at is near where they launch the nasa rockets which is pretty cool hehe. wow that sounds intense lol. goodluck for your first day i'm sure you'll have heaps of fun :)
yeah def australian unis need more things like that they are so good for socialising and also networking when you graduate. but yeah hopefully you make it over here someday! if you ever do go to miami try come up to volusia too it's a pretty nice place :) what are you studying?
yeah usc. it's a great uni seems like lotsa fun. do you watch the hills or the city? whitney port went there. it's really good for my course and also really sporty and social like frats and sororities are big. i was choosing between usc and some north-east schools and the weather and lifestyle def swayed me in the end. but yeah if you ever come to cali (or florida) i'll show you around! :D
yeah we are like 3.5hrs up the coast from miami. cali is great i'll be moving there in august for college so excited i love the beaches, weather and hot guys haha
nah my mum, dad, little bro and i moved to the gold coast for my dad's work. we are from florida. but it was ok because we'd go back home every holiday so it was like more spending have of the year in aus and half back in the states.
