Well, Avatar does deal with belonging but personally I wouldn't use it. The only films I can think of from the top of my head are Babel & the House of Sand and Fog.
i used the scarlet letter by nathaniel hawthorne. it's bloody great. it saved my arse for the HSC cos i was on the brink of giving up for this subject. it's a great read too! :D
DUDE we had EXACTLY the same prescribed texts lol. i totally forgot about hamlet! i think i quite liked hamlet more than frankenstein though. fiftieth gate was a total pain to get through and immigrant chronicles was the worst. fuck. i don't ever want to read anything by skrzynecki ever again.
it doesn't hurt to read it :P. i read it during the summer holidays and forgot about it by the time we had to study the module lol so i used sparknotes afterwards. anyway, frankenstein was wayyyy more interesting than my other prescribed texts.
have never heard of that study guide. you can always check it out by going to the library or something and borrowing it. see how it goes and if you like it, then buy it. seriously, don't waste money on study guides. it's better to just borrow it from your local or school library.
just take some rest these holidays. i know how hard it is at times when these things happen during HSC. my grandmother same time around last year became really ill and was in intensive care for a week. then she eventually passed away when i got back to school. i don't think i did any work at all...
cambridge skills in australian geography by kleeman. same author for geo interactions textbook. it's pretty good but i wouldn't spend my money on it. i borrowed it from the local library & from UTS lol. anyway, it's better off doing past papers for skills. i know bos is pretty dodgy at times and...
it's best to write your own notes because you'd be learning as you write them. use other people's notes once you know the topic/subject well enough because you can grab any info you might've left out. it works differently for everyone though. one time i didn't have enough time to write my own...
i told my mum and she was so happy (got 97.55). she lied to my dad when he came home that i got 79. HE WAS SOOO HAPPY REGARDLESS. then when i told him my actual atar, he was ecstatic.
