lol just read this, our store still uses the manual ones all the time. we do use the printouts as well, but A LOT of manual stickers. About half of all Produce RTC are manual, and ALL DELI RTCs are manual. We have no self-service registers, so maybe thats y we're behind the times...?

You have cigarettes at every register?!? WEIRD! We have the older fluro-ish green format, and "smokeshop" is just part of express, and also one big register on the side. We don't have anyone allocated to smokeshop, they just serve on express and go to the front when needed. All the new...

CALLING EXPERT SERVICE SUPERVISOR HELP! How do you deal with dodgy refunds??? THe reason I ask is that today I had a woman, who looked like she was on drugs, asking for a refund on $42 of products (and the stuff thats normally high security)- BUT she had a RECEIPT! I think she must have...

!!!serious??? I have NEVER counted a drawer with someone else present, except on express, and even then they're serving customers. We'd fail this policy every day, assuming its the case for Safeway as well as Woolworths.

We've been too busy too- just crazy! I actually thought it would've been quiet-ish the Saturday after the Coles thing on Friday, but NO! Interesting thing i noticed in Coles' ad in the paper (well done on $5million btw) was that the guy in the photo had the really old 'Orb' logo on his name...

argh that is just so evil, i've wondered a couple of times about refunds which may not even hav the original product in it....but we're just too busy in a supermarket to do that sort of thing. lol i would've loved to see the look on the guy's face when u opened the box!

cos u said so in one of ur posts....its sometimes reassuring to know that others are enduring the same idiots as you.

understandable, northland is boganville. they may seem like nice bogans initially, but if you dare challenge them or speak to them when they've been deprived of nicotine for over 12 minutes, you see the true meaning of the word 'nutjob'.

We have to call supervisors for all gift card purchases overr $200 on credit card. Apparently Asian gangs are really organised with stolen credit cards, and they have a new signature strip that matches theirs. We've only been told about this recently though, and if a new employee issued the gift...

Any part-timers- I'd really appreciate your help. Just with checkout operator shifts, how long before a shift can u manage to get out of it?? How much notice minimum is expected (i'm talking now, not christmas holidays). I realise part time is not a flexible as casual, but I REALLY need to...

I know it would make it easier, but Safeway and Woolworths aren't the same thing. I'm pretty sure that the EBA for Safeway is negotiated by the Victorian SDA branch, and other states are separate. RE: unions being a 'waste of time', I have tended to agree in the past, but have found the SDA...
