ok so this is how i did it: 5x-7/x <= 4 multiply both sides by x^2 (5x-7)x <= 4x^2 0<=(4x^2)-(5x-7)x 0<=(x)(4x-5x+7) (x)(4x-5x+7) => 0 (x)(-x+7) => 0 hence since x not equal to 0 solution: x<0 and x=>7 edit: crap, didn't realise that it was a negative parabola so you guys are right...

lol sry meant unknown in denominator, but was doing absolute value questions hence i got confused.

thanks for the responses guys really helped alot, another question i have is how should i go about studying besides doing practice essays (i understand they're the best way to prepare but i have too many assessments coming up to do this).

same here but my school runs three classes but being the idiot that i am i changed it to modern history (so crap compared to eco imo) at the end of last year thinking phys, chem and eco would be too hard... now all the classes are full so i cant change! A load of my friends do eco and i skimmed...
