Actually most people can't tell the difference between SP (normal mode) and LP2....LP4 on the other hand is a totally different story as its main purpose (or what most people use it for) is to record lectures and thus sound quality in that case is not really a top priority.

i got my earphones over the net from singapore for $70AUD inc. postage (australian RRP $130) as for the mp3 question, depends on the capacity of the memory stick/chip/whatever....*i think* they go as high as 20GB now

are the rumors about the bands appearing on BDO usually correct?

the only thing MP3 players had that MDs didn't was the ability to transfer tracks, but now MDs are capable of that. i just bought a new pair of sony e888s - the best consumer level earphones (check any hifi site) and they sound great with my (old) SOny R900....the earphones you get with sony...

if those bands are confirmed then it looks like i'll be going to my first BDO! if any of these bands - glassjaw, thursday, the blood brothers or the used are added to the bill i'll be going for sure

i don't know too much about the older guitarist...but i'm listening to "cicatriz esp" by the mars volta now with john frusciante on guitar...its a 12minute masterpiece

i've only heard one SYL song.."aftermath" ...didn't sound nu-metalish at all...i think they'd fit in nicely with the other bands listed in the poll

I was really looking forward to seeing it, unfortunately it was a little too childish at times for my liking (I know, its a kids movie). Though the first half of the movie had some really funny parts!

Yeha, you can really tell after listening to Sparta and The Mars Volta that the afro'd members of ATD-I were the more experimental ones, while the others were more straight up rock.
