UTS Semester 2 2006 Timetables and Subjects ahoy!

Your subjects from last semester on UTSOnline will automatically de-enrol sometime this week (unless it's not automatic) and your new subjects should be up sometime this week. EVen if you passed or failed, the same thing would happen, so don't worry.

    Forensic Science - Employment issues

Combining this with another relevant degree will also give you more job opportunities. Doing a law or criminology degree with it might lead to careers in forensic analysis in those areas. A fast growing area is also forensic analysis in accounting, so a business degree would be useful as well...

First day at EY today. Had graduate induction today. Most of it was boring, but hey, it has to be done. Tomorrow's training should be more fun because it's mainly technical based and I like techy stuff :p Food was good as well. I wish they would feed us everyday!

You can technically (well at UTS at least) graduate from one degree and continue the other, provided you have finished one degree. I don't know if the employer will technically recognise you as a graduate though.

Well doing a BComm or BBus with an Accounting major would give you the business law as part of the core subjects. It would also give you the introductory taxation law knowledge as part of the Accounting major. This would probably be alright for the tax division, but as Meads has said, a law...

How Does Your 2006 Tax Return Look?

You made it just under the $21,600 tax bracket, so you should get most of it back :)

    CD drive not working. help?

Try putting the CD in a few times (and maybe cleaning it too). I found my old DVD-ROM drive used to have this problem as well under Windows 98/ME. It reads all DVDs and CDs first go now under Windows XP/Vista on my backup computer, so maybe it was an OS problem. Other than that, just get a...

I believe if you are going into the accounting related divisons (like AABS at EY), then you will most definately need to do an accounting major in your degree and you'll be required to be eligible for the CA program. If you're going into a divison that doesn't require an Accounting major (such...
