    A new building?

Buildings 7, 8 and 9 are pretty much the UTS housing as well as that building that makes up the coop-bookshop. That's what I remember from the map anyways. I know the St Leonards campus had one of these numbers too, but it was considered a seperate campus anyways. I think the building next to...

Best job to start off with? (0 exp)

Well right now is around the time when retailers start recruiting for Christmas casuals. Places like Myer, K-Mart, DJs and so on are probably looking for people. I'm not sure when applications open or close, but it's something that can be good as a first job. You basically get to work during...

    Where to from here?

Re: Don't know where to begin UTS has a course called Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Media Arts and Production) which may be of interest to you. Check out the course from the link below. That should be a start. http://www.handbook.uts.edu.au/hss/ug/c10097.html

    Business Service Lines

There are also other types of audits other than financial, such as internal audits as mentioned above and technology audits (which is what I do). While the basic concepts remain the same across all types of audits, some interest people more than others.

    Hays Salary Surveys (May, 2006)

Accounting firms still need to keep records of their own accounting of revenues and expenses (and assets and so forth) just like any other company. They still have the traditional accounts receivable, payable, etc just like any other company. I hope that's what you were referring to.

Just Checked University Guide-2006 & guess what?

I said most, not all :p. There are about 2-3 more years worth of people to go through the old core subjects (after first year), so yeh.

    31336 Internet Middleware Programming

If you mean ITPS (31479) then that's a fairly easy subject and I wouldn't worry about it too much. PMQA and SITPP are harder and more workload than ITPS.

31480 Strategic Information Technology Planning Project no longer a pre-req?

It's always been like that. You still need 31478 to do 31480 (at least this semester anyways).

Just Checked University Guide-2006 & guess what?

Most of the old core subjects and sub-major subjects will still exist from 2007 onwards in the IT faculty, so anyone in the pre-2007 course will still be able to do them. Any subject that is being phased out will still be available for at least a year.

Just Checked University Guide-2006 & guess what?

While what you have stated is true, it is not the main reason for restructuring the IT courses. UTS usually review their IT courses (and other courses as well) every 5 or so years to make sure they are as relevant to the industry as possible. The new course design was developed with a panel of...

    University fee payment...

As discussed above, provided you are eligible for HECS-HELP (which you appear to be) as long as you can get into a CSP supported uni course (ie. usually by means of entry via your UAI...well in NSW at least) then you will get the HECS-HELP loan automatically. It's not really a loan itself, in...
