    Music 2 Sightsinging

It's pretty easy. You shouldn't really worry about it. Check out the syllabus, it will tell you the rules regarding modulation, time sig. changes, etc. And no, you don't have to have perfect pitch. They couldn't possibly require you to have it, as it's not really something you can learn... :)

    Post your Half-Yearly Study Strategy/Technique

I'll share my study technique. 1. Make food and get a drink 2. Get comfortable. 3. Put some music on. Turn it up loud, so you can't hear outside noise that could cause a distractions. 4. Look at your closed textbooks/class notes. 5. Pull out a totally unrelated book, eg LotR, and read that...

    why on earth

Mine were $413 for one subject. Thank God I don't have to buy more books for that subject, they last me for the three years. I was annoyed by the fact that the only place I could buy them was Lathams. Way to go uni/co-op bookshops, don't bother stocking music text books or anything.

    The Age of Chivalry

I like it, it's sweet. But it's not something I'd expect, unless I had my arms full or something. That's just really common courtesy though, I'd hold a door for someone else in the same situation. (Actually this is kinda weird. The same topic was up for discussion on another forum I'm on a...

    Everything Science Fiction

Edit: Beaten to it :p They can be very similar, and in many cases cross over. Fantasy generally uses magic of some sort as a major part of the plot, and it's often loosely based on legends and mythology. Science Fiction usually involves scientific elements or advanced technology; eg space...

Nice books, Jhakka! How many times have I said that I need to stop spending money on books? :p I got Robin Hobb's Tawny Man trilogy today, and Shaman's Crossing. I was given a boxed-signed-hardcover limited edition of this for Christmas, and I had to buy a reading copy too. Also got Terry...
