    induction motor or cooktop?

all i can say is that its pretty mean if the answer is not cooktop: the cooktop and electromagnetic braking are studies side by side in all textbooks.

    amphiprotic

im such a jackass.. i KNEW that answer, but i said "an amphiprotic substance has more than one proton" and i showed it donating first the one, then the other H ion to water FUCKFUCKFUCK

    accomidation

I'm applying for UNSW next year. What do i do for accomidation? Do I apply now? Or wait for UAI? Is there any kind of link between being accepted for a course and receiving accomidation? What if I am not accepted for the course, but am accepted for accomidation???

    Einstein and the Photoelectric Effect

to get full marks youd really need to discuss threshhold frequency, work function, and the max kinetic energy of the photoelectron. ie, electrons are only emitted if the threshhold frequency is satisfied, and the energy of the photoelectrons is given by E = hf = workfunction + kineticenergy

whoa i dont get that... why should a transformer want semiconducting properties??

    hsc science

I do chem and phys, and I'm getting the feeling that HSC science isn't really traditional science, but more that its a superficial appreciation of science. this is especially true in physics, where like 90% of the marks you get by studying theory and recounting the background of a concept, eg...

    Fermi's Demonstration

Fermi wasn't the first to achieve fission, but he was the first to make a working controlled fission reaction in his "atomic pile" which used uranium oxide and uranium as a fuel, with graphite as a moderator. (he made it in a squash court)

    Bohr's Postulates

the importance of the thrid postulate was that it explained why electrons dont emit EM radiation as classical physics sugested they should. it didnt really explain it though, it was an 'ad hoc' assumption: de Broglie explained it by comparing the orbit to the creation of a standing wave

    heisenberg and pauli

the main contribution by heisenberg was that he pretty much created the mathematical framework for quantum mechanics with max born

    chemical engineering

Hi, im interested in CE. However, I know very little about it. To tell the truth, I'm only interested in it on the grounds that I enjoy and am good at chemistry, and I believe that there is the capacity for reasonably good salary levels in that field. I would like to hear from anyone who knows...

    Latham or Howard?

My choice is Howard, for it is his trans-maternal strengths by which his influence exudes that we come to understand ourselves, our country, and ourselves.

China plans to dominate Asia and the World

    Liberal is better than Labour

I don't get it; are you saying that it was relevent or not? I think that the war on Iraq is justified. In addition, the Kyoto protocol should be subscribed to by Aus.

    Treatment of POWs

Exuse me, lengstar, don't insult me by assuming you have my demographic on a platter; I have given this serious thought, and if you had a real mind for the issues at hand, you would reaslise just what I have. For one second, try to imagine that your perspective is incorrect. You will be very...

    Treatment of POWs

I WOULD ASK YOU TO CONSIDER THE FUCKING FACT THE UNITED STATES ARE LIBERATING THE IRAQI PEOPLE FROM A MENACE: HUSSIEN AND HIS PARTY COMMITTED MASS MURDER AGAINST THEIR OWN PEOPLE. HE ACTIVLEY PROMOTED AND REWARDED TERRORISM AGAINST ISRAEL. THE POW ISSUE IS AN UNFORTUNATE MANIFESTATION OF THE...

    Kyoto Protocol

The United States are a nation which did not subscribe to the protocol, although it should be noted that many other heavily industrialised nations did not either. The argument against the US is strong nonetheless; their industry surpasses all others by far. I believe it rightly exemplifies the...
