    Visual and Performing Arts Interview

I always find it interesting that there are quite a few communication students that leave UTS and come to CSU. However, the opposite doesn't seem to happen.

BA (Communication – Journalism) - UAI?

I'll also offer some advice. Don't simply rely on your "UAI" to get into journalism at CSU. The reason why the UAI score for entry into journalism isn't published is because it isn't the only thing considered. In fact, the UAI is the LAST thing that is considered. The first things they...

    Accomodation at Wagga

Journalism, TV Production, Advertising, Public Relations, Games Technology and the list goes on.

    Is Tafe For The Dumb

    So, what exactly is "intelligence"?

    Is Tafe For The Dumb

It is financially a smart choice if you're eligible for Youth Allowance. Considering the fact that people on Youth Allowance have no fees at TAFE means they can do a Diploma, then transfer to uni, and will not have to pay the HECS on the subjects they're credited for. Not only this, having a...

    Is Tafe For The Dumb

When you go to university, you'll realise how a majority of academics have very little common sense and find it hard to cope with reality outside the university office they sit in most of the day. They're great with "models", but the world isn't a hypothetical "model". Is that right? Well...

want to do magazine journalism - uts or usyd???

UTS and CSU are the best when it comes to communication degrees...... much much better than uSyd. For example, here at little "CSU", we just had one of the Fairfax Training Editors giving our tutorials. It was great having someone there in our little class of 20 students giving our two hour...

want to do magazine journalism - uts or usyd???

I hope he chooses to go there, because it'll mean less competition for the graduates of Journalism at UTS and CSU in this extremely competitive industry :D. Around 300 openings a year in the industry.

want to do magazine journalism - uts or usyd???

Perhaps you should go and ask an editor about whether they give a damn about "prestige" when it comes to journalism.

    UTS(good or bad)

True. Too much theory in uSyd Journalism. What editor would give a damn about someone graduating full of marxist / postmodernist ideas?

    help on UWS

For the course I am doing, I would prefer NOT to go to uSyd :-)
  12. M

    help on UWS

Yeah, if you want to be an SC.
  13. M

    help on UWS

You don't have to go to uni to be a lawyer.
  14. M

    help on UWS

Every university has a school that is really good compared to other universities. You wouldn't do engineering at uSyd, instead you would go to UNSW. I am sure UWS has something good about it.

    Is Tafe For The Dumb

I know plenty of intelligent people who attend TAFE. Being able to have a conversation about "postmodernism" and all that other crap doesn't mean you're intelligent. Just means you have so much time to waste researching something that is of no value to anyone outside university.

    Is Tafe For The Dumb

Plumbers are the best friend of doctors. If it was not for plumbers, we would have so many water borne diseases.
  17. M

    Is Tafe For The Dumb

TAFE is not for dumb people. Some of the most stupid people on Earth are academics who have never stepped foot outside university in regards to their professional life. TAFE is there for people who want a different sort of job, or in some cases a chance to understand things "hands on" before...

    The Beijing Olympics

China has made the Olympics political. You cant say they're not using the Olympics as a political triumph. They're not doing it for the "love of sport". It is all about CHINA becoming a so called "equal" among nations. It is their form of "schoolies" in terms of geopolitics. They're liars...

    Homosexuality in Australia

If consenting adults agree how can it be a relationship of being exploited? As long as minors are NOT ALLOWED to enter legal sexual relationships (which involve a contract), I see no problem with it. I see no problem with any voluntary sexual / parental relationship between adults or groups of...
