That's effectively right except you would be doing 2U Maths - 2 units Extension 1 Maths - 1 unit When they refer to 3U maths they mean doing 2U and Extension 1 And no - you need 10 units so would have to keep all your units except Photography.

Yeah sounds right - the midpoint of the ladder must always be 3m from the origin (as the length of the ladder is 6m) so it's a circle with centre at the origin and a radius of 3 (ie X2 + Y2 = 32 = 9). X and Y must be positive so only include the first quadrant.

Oh and just something I found in that document linked to in the thread - In other words - if someone does really badly, they won't drag the rest of the class down. If they only do slightly worse than expected, unless they are in the top couple of students or the bottom couple of students...
