UNI costs are overwhelming. I only ever really thought about how I'd pay HECS...then I turn up and have to worry about textbooks, transport, a whole score of other overpriced materials. It makes you realllly appreciate how easy sailing high school was!

Exactly! ;) My Dad always used to go on about how it's so important to work at high school, and I always got the feeling that he was always like a top student but just didn't have the opportunity to go to UNI and go on to other things. So I always felt sort of inspired to do my parents proud...

Neither of my parents went to UNI. My Mum left in year 10, and my Dad went straight into an entry level job after he basically failed high school.

I burn my fair share of CDs, but but plenty as well. I find I only really listen to those that I have bought, it's just doesn't seem the same otherwise! Also, if I burn a CD then find I really like it upon listening to it, I'll go out and buy it anyway.
