A tip for those entering uni in 2004...

Another tip-don't be a complete toss and talk on your mobile phone in the library, in the middle of the study areas. It is a rule that library staff usually do not bother enforcing, but please be aware that you are slowly pissing off everyone within a 5m radius of yourself.

    taking money to uni

My advice is to bring as little as possible, not so much in case it gets stolen, but because then you are less likely to waste it!

    American Idol

The sickest guy was that guy that sung a hippie-ish song that he wrote himself about everyone coming together...he was too calm, in a really freaky and disturbing way.

    Truancy

The police don't give a fuck if someone is out of school or not. It is the least of their worries. It may work at first, but once the novelty has worn off, the police will just ask the student for their card, the student will say they forgot it, the police will give them some piss weak warning...

    American Idol

I can't believe how conceited all the contestants were! Like...everyone! :(

    thom yorke or jeff backley

I've only heard a bit of Andromeda, but have loved what I've heard. I think they will be quite big in Aus soon enough. ;)

    JJJ Hottest 100

This years hottest 100 was officially the worst ever.:( Of the predictible choices, I wish the White Stripes had have gotton up there.

    Movie acquisition thread

I always borrow DVDs from the library for free. Yep-I'm a tightarse. (But I don't have a job and have many UNI expenses to cover, so at least I am a tightarse with an excuse.)

Is it advisable to have Lectures immediately after each other?

If you have a break between every lecture you will be spending a lot of unecessary time at UNI! I think 3-4 hours of classes and then a break is pretty reasonable. Personally I like having the morning full of classes and then arvos free, it's hard concentrating in the afternoon, and I hate...

    JJJ Hottest 100

My prediction=Outkast. My personal fave however was Andromeda-3rd Dimension Colour Scene. I have so far been quite unimpressed by the countdown this year... :(

    uni bags?

Rarely. You occassionally may be told to bring them for tutes or something, but even then you can get away without it.

    uni bags?

lol-truer words have never been said.

    uni bags?

I pretty much always wear the same backpack, although I almost never bring textbooks to and from UNI, so it's not very big.

    The Bachelor

so did he propose? And did he mention exactly why he picked Estella instead of Kelly?

    The Bachelor

Hey, who won I forgot to watch...

    The Simpsons

Tonights episode was hilarious. With Marge making those needlepoint "Get Well Lenny" signs. :D "Not Lenny?!?!?"

    What do I doooooooo.....

Yeah, we were always told by our maths teachers when picking subjects in year 11 that you could "Go down but not up"-as in, you couldn't move up to 2 unit. I don't know if thats so much as an BOS enforced rule though, more just common sense!

    What do I doooooooo.....

But if she is already in year 12 it will be a bit hard to catch up on a year of 2 unit work. General maths really isn't that worthwhile-I did it in year 12 cos I figured it is best to do a maths course even if I hated it, but looking back-if you're not doing at least 2 unit maths then it's...

    condom found in soup

(just on the topic...) When I used to work at Coles, there was a short period where we were all told that if something got spilled and we had to mop it up, NOT to put a caution sign out after we'd mopped it up out to warn people that the floor was wet, because apparently the store could get in...

    The Bachelor

I've only seen this show twice before-last nights and the week before. What I want to know is-at the end, is the Bachelor guy actually expected to propose, as part of the show? Is that like the prize for being the last girl standing? If so, that is incredibly sad and cheap. Especially if he has...
