who is absolutely sick of english?

I actually find that sorta thing quite enjoyable and interesting, it sorta expands the subject in to other areas. But thats just me. But I do have to say, English is far more enjoyable and interesting (despite the immense work load) than it was in years 7-10.

who is absolutely sick of english?

If you do journalism and media and communications for instance you would have to understand linguistic techniques and their effectivessness and their uses. This is because you're writing things like feature articles, columns, newspaper articles etc. and in order to be persuasive (or whatever...

who is absolutely sick of english?

i have to say, while english is more imaginative and less knowledge and maths is vice versa, you are correct. The best mathematicians, scientists, artists etc. use both to their advantage

who is absolutely sick of english?

All subjects have aspects of them that aren't as practical as others. You get taught alot of things so you have your options open when you choose your career path. Will I ever use calculas for everyday life no! Only if you chose a career that is mathematics are physics based will you need to...

who is absolutely sick of english?

I'm not saying either is better or more useful, rather I am just saying to "english-haters" that english is just as important and practical as maths... Oh, I like apples better ;)

who is absolutely sick of english?

I know, why can't those two faculties just get along? Both subjects are important. I have nothing against maths, I quite enjoy it at times (but I'm not exactly that good at it either :p). I just don't like it when someone goes on about how unpractical it is.

Take a look at my Major Work....

Yeah the words are a bit faded, its sorta intentional. They're lyrics from the album... "I will see you in the next life" "I'm not here, This isn't happening" "Everything in its Right Place" Yeah everyone likes my title :) I've never done something that abstract before, I'm pretty...

who is absolutely sick of english?

In what way didn't he admit his mistake? he said it was a typo (therefore a mistake)... I'm sure you have never spelt anything wrong or made a typo. note: there was sarcasm in that post, in case you couldn't find it

who is absolutely sick of english?

Thats ridiculous, there are plenty of people who excel at both maths and english, theres heaps of people in my school just like that. English is more than just reading and writing, its about communication skills and expression as well, both very important things... The reason why I'm on...

    Catholic trail?

We did the catholic trial even though we are a normal public school. I think the art teachers couldn't be bothered making their own, so what they did was they pasted the school header on to the trial and claimed it as their own :) :p

Take a look at my Major Work....

I sorta like my artwork, tell me what you guys think, be brutally honest.... Its basically a visual interpretation of the Radiohead album "Kid A". Keep in mind: I started my artwork on the thursday before the day it was due. There was an exhibition on the Thursday, so I had to make a...

    who despises their major works?

I started my artwork on the thursday before the day it was due. There was an exhibition on the Thursday, so I had to make a cnavas, prime it and do a whole artwork in a few hours. Well I managed to do more than half of it (bear in mind the canvas is 170 X 90 cm). I then finished the rest of it...

who is absolutely sick of english?

I love the way you think and I love that book (I just finished reading it). I just though you needed some back-up, so I decided to pop up in a *gasp* maths extension 2 forum. Maths and science help you to understand the world, but art and literature help you understand human beings. thats why...
