    First-year IT Camp 2006

You're looking at min 18, max 32 at the moment. I'm not sure how warm/cool it will be at night though. The camp is at the foothills of the blue mountains, rather than in them, as your camp booklet says, so don't expect it to be too cool (but it can be cool at night sometimes).

    First-year IT Camp 2006

In regards to sleeping bags, most people bring them because it's small and light, so they are easy to carry. Basically, you guys get given an empty bed, so it's up to you how you want to sleep. You'll need something to put your head on (so pillow, clothes, etc) and something to put over yourself...

    First-year IT Camp 2006

We give you a fair bit of free time, especially on the 2nd day, but we have like organised activities running during that time, so that you guys aren't bored. So, we give you the option to do whatever you feel comfortable doing. You can bring whatever, but just know that we organise stuff for...

    First-year IT Camp 2006

I don't think we have any BOS stickers left >.<. I'm not 100% sure about the power outlets, but from memory there probably is.

    First-year IT Camp 2006

There's a fair few girls going this year, so don't worry about feeling left out! Well we have students going on the camp for all the IT courses, so you'll be mixed in with BScIT, BIT, BBus/BComp and BMathComp students. We get you guys do to bus activities on the bus, so you'll kinda be forced to...

    2007 Graduate Positions

Most uni's usually have some sort of careers fair early in Semester 1 where they have stalls for like a lot of companies that offer graduate roles. Also, your uni careers office might have a booklet that lists companies that offer graduate roles (even if it's the 2005 booklet, it still might be...

UTS Semester 1 2006 Timetables and Subjects

Re: 2006 Timetable and Subjects So you got an exemption for CMS and ACL but not for Accounting Transactions and Business Decisions? That is quite odd! Well it should be alright do to MDC then as you should have the basic accounting knowledge from CMS to understand it.

    Business Timetable Question

Allocations are what you have been allocated, based on your preferences. Currently, some subjects are in allocation adjustment mode, meaning you can select actual classes and that is your actual allocation, while some subjects are in preference mode, meaning you put in your preferences, and then...

    2006 Timetable?

I can't find the exact date on the UTS website, but it is probably towards the end of next week I'm guessing. That way, we have the last week (both current and new students) to adjust our allocations and finalise our timetables.

UTS Semester 1 2006 Timetables and Subjects

Re: 2006 Timetable and Subjects Did you get an exemption for Cost Management Systems? If not, I would do that first before doing Management Decisions and Control. Also, I would also do Accounting Transactions and Business Decisions before doing Management Decisions and Control or any other...

    Exam times

They can vary, but usually start at either: 9:30am, 2pm, 6pm. Those are the 3 typical times, but they can vary, especially for exams which aren't the typical 3 hour exams.

    Business Timetable Question

Welcome Back, Dingo2004. Anyways, you don't have to do certain core subjects in your first semester, but most people would follow the standard program anyways, as some subjects in Autumn would be required in Spring. It's common for some students in Business to do Business Statistics in Autumn...

    Ernst & Young

I finished the summer vacation program @ Deloitte yesterday. It was pretty cool. Now got 3 weeks of holidays until uni starts again. I started working after the exam period last semester, so haven't had much of a uni break until now. Good luck to all you guys starting this week =).

    St Leonards-City move

I saw the Science building yesterday. They've taken down most of the boards from the outside and it's looking really nice. Usually UTS buildings look ugly on the outside and good on the inside, but this one seems a bit different. Though part of the building still seems a bit ugly though, but the...

    Campus Tour, who's going?

You can sign up for clubs on Union O-Day, which is during the orientation week. That's the week before semester starts (and the week after IT camp). It's over 2 days this year (so the Tuesday and Wednesday). Most of the clubs will have stalls there so you can talk to then and sign up. Join...
